After a long day at a business conference, I was relieved to check into The Maxwell Hotel, a Staypineapple property in downtown Seattle. The hotel offered a welcoming and comfortable experience, from the pineapple-themed decor and amenities to the friendly helpful staff.

This pet-friendly, kid-friendly hotel with their “not so standard” rooms and suites make The Maxwell Hotel a perfect place to call home while on your Seattle adventures, with Seattle’s best attractions and restaurants just steps away.

Location, Location, Location

You are downtown, so lots of restaurants, bars and live music are nearby. Being near Puget Sound, a bay that branches into the ocean, I found an excellent sushi restaurant known as the Moon Tree within a few blocks of the hotel.

But what you don’t want to miss are Seattle’s best attractions, all within easy walking, biking or LYFT distance.

  • The Seattle Center (0.1m away): 74 acre center for arts, educational, tourism and entertainment and home to the Space Needle, the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP), Climate Pledge Arena, Pacific Science Center, Chihuly Garden & Glass.
  • Pike Place Market (1.5m away): An easy walk or quick LYFT where you can shop, dine and ship home your favorite fresh seafood.
  • Pier 91 Cruise Terminal (2.2m away): A great stay pre- or post-cruise with easy LYFT drop off at cruise time.

SheBuysTravel Tip: Your feet will thank you for finding a centralized hotel that is within walking distance of many of the city’s attractions. Plus, you’ll save on parking and/or transportation fees.

My feet threatening to explode, I gazed at the bed sprawling before me.

Having spent a number of hours at a Seattle-based business conference, I was extremely happy to melt into that very comfortable bed.

What I liked about my room:

  • Very Comfortable Basics: Two queen beds, a couch, a safe for valuables, a Keurig machine for  my morning coffee and a table and chair where I could relax, work or eat in.
  • Spacious Bathroom: Big enough for two, featuring a large shower with exotic shampoo, conditioner bath/body gel dispensers and two bright yellow robes.
  • The “Everything Button” on the phone: Immediately connects you to the concierge for whatever requests you can dream up.
  • Vinyl wood floors: My preference over traditional carpet because it feels like home and it’s easy to see how clean the floors are.
  • Pineapple-Shaped Charger: Multiple ports for plugging in all my devices.
  • Complimentary pineapple-themed thermos: filled with cool water for traipsing around town and yours to take home.

The Maxwell Hotel has traditional and accessible rooms that sleep 1-4 people and a variety of suites (one type  that is apartment style) that sleep up to 6.
