That $12 rain poncho, $20 pin, and overpriced princess dress? You don’t have to pay it. Get ahead of park pricing with these must-buy items before your Disney trip to ensure the memories you make are happy and affordable.

Practical Disney Essentials to Buy Before You Go

1. Sunscreen

You know what makes your day at EPCOT miserable? A toddler with a sunburn. Don’t forget this Disney must-have because it’s a pricey gift shop purchase in the hotel or the Disney parks.

And remember, sunscreen has a “Use By” date printed on it. I scored sunscreen on markdown at the end of the summer at Target, getting a three-pack of aerosol bottles for just $2.99. Buy this before your Disney vacation and score major savings.

Heads up – if you’re traveling with only a carry-on, this won’t be an option for you. Make sure to put bottles of sunscreen into Ziploc bags when packing them in checked luggage. You don’t want any messy surprises!

2. Aloe Vera

Even if you regularly slather on the sunscreen, chances are someone will end up with a sunburn. It just happens. The excitement, the heat, the sweat. Be prepared by bringing aloe vera to soothe sore spots. I’m a huge fan of the kind that comes in tubs. Less potential for mess. A new find I love has been aloe vera wipes, perfect for us carry-on queens.

3. Rain Ponchos

When it rains at Disney, this magical theme park becomes a sea of Mickey ponchos. At roughly $12 per poncho, it would cost $72 to cover my family of 6 — an entirely unnecessary spend. I found heavy ponchos with reusable pouches for $3 (kids) and $4 (adults) at Walmart. The bonus was that my family stood out with our red and blue ponchos, making the kids easier to spot when we were walking in the rain or riding one of the you-always-get-soaked water rides like Kali River Rapids.

I also love these adult ponchos from Amazon. They call them disposable but they’re sturdy! You can use these throughout your whole trip without ripping them. In the spirit of keeping things dry, we also recommend looking at a backpack rain cover. Keep all your belongings dry with a bright cover that doubles as a clear visual for the kids to find you.

SheBuysTravel Tip: Don’t get really cheap and buy the plastic ponchos from the Dollar Store. They rip.

Disney Must-Haves to Beat the Heat

4. Misting Fans and Cooling Towels

In case you haven’t heard, Walt Disney World is in Florida. Florida is hot. In some months, unbearably so. It can get pretty toasty in Anaheim, California, home of Disneyland, as well.

Things we always buy before Disney to help with the heat? Cooling towels and misting fans. A misting fan can go a long way in lowering the whining levels of little ones during long wait times.

SheBuysTravel Pick

5. Water Bottle

Dehydration is a very real danger when it’s hot. Having a water bottle for everyone will help combat that. You can get free refills of ice water from any Disney quick-service restaurant. It’s one of the best free things at Disney.

Kiddo doesn’t like water? Bring a few flavor packets and turn that free water into lemonade or an electrolyte drink.

I love these water bottles that clip onto things. Even the kids’ water bottles with built-in straws have convenient carrying loops.

Disney Must Haves: Food

6. Snacks

Bringing our own food has saved us at least $50 every day we’re in the parks. Best part? You’re not surviving on granola bars. We’ve got a whole list of varied snack and food ideas. You can carry food into the parks. We like using a backpack cooler.

7. Coffee Options

As a must-have-coffee-now person, I know that the in-room coffee choices at the most magical place on earth are not super magical.

In the parks, you’ll find Starbucks locations, but the lines can be brutal. My husband needs coffee before he can get out the door and be functional. I always pack some instant coffee packs like Cafe Bustelo or even the Starbucks Via mixes. If you need an in-park pick-me-up, dump one into a water bottle for instant iced coffee. For me, a Disney essential is definitely a well-caffeinated parental unit.

If you are driving, never underestimate the power of ready-to-drink iced lattes. Bring a bunch. Stick a couple in the fridge and you’re good to go.

Disney Must-Haves: Clothing Items to Consider

8. Sunglasses & Hats

Our Disney essentials include sunglasses and hats for all family members. We always include a few extras. Our teen son has a habit of putting his hat into the mesh pocket on roller coasters and walking off without it. We jokingly got him this one and he STILL lost it!

9. Disney Pajamas

You can often score Disney t-shirts and pajamas at a steep discount. If you don’t want to head out of your house to hunt for deals, head to shopDisney.

10. Comfy Disneybounding Options

Think you might take part in Disneybounding? We love this super comfy skirt option. It comes in a variety of colors so that you can be inspired by almost any Disney character. Or go the full dress route with a vintage-inspired beauty that comes in a rainbow of options.

11. Slide Sandals

Remember when we mentioned that it POURS at Disney sometimes? My kids take after me and hate having wet shoes.

We always carry a Cotopaxi backpack. As soon as it starts raining, I pull out the slides and we tuck away their shoes to stay dry. They don’t take up much room in the bag and it stops a lot of whining. Plus, we’ll use the slides at pools and water parks too.

12. Disney Sweatshirt or Jacket for Chilly Nights

Even though the Disney parks are located in warm-weather states, you’ll be glad to have a sweatshirt or jacket with you once the sun sets. Honestly, this one isn’t even as much about the savings as being able to pick one that is your taste. If you wait until you’re there you’ll see the same Disney sweatshirt options in every store, and on everyone.

Disney Must-Haves: Cell Phone Accessories

13. Portable Charger

Disney sucks the juice from phones the way a toddler empties a Capri Sun — FAST. Bring backup power for your phone so you don’t have to search for a spot to plug in (or buy a pricey Fuel Rod).

When it comes to chargers, name brand really does matter. I’ve received a lot of the lipstick chargers and promo ones and eventually, they stop working, usually at the worst possible moment. I recommend (and carry) an Anker charger.

14. Longer Phone Charging Cord

Let’s face it, in the battle of phone charging cords at Disney, size does matter. Plugs are sometimes a little bit hidden, so the longer your cord, the better chance you have of reaching it. This is a convenience item that we highly recommend.

This pack comes with 6 (!) cords for under $12. I set the extras aside for when my kids steal my cords or claim they can’t find theirs. I also keep a backup in my purse and car.

Don’t want to fish around in your bag trying to find the ends of cords? Cord management is a breeze with these cord ties. Or go next level with this cord-organizing case.

15. PopSocket

Disney doesn’t allow selfie sticks, but there are other ways to take creative pictures of your family on your trip. With a PopSocket you can pop it out, lean your phone and take a cool picture of the whole group, including you!

I particularly love this one because it’s a combo phone wallet/PopSocket (and Stitch is my favorite). I like to bring at least my ID into the parks even if I’m using my MagicBand to pay. Looking for something a little cheaper? Try this PopSocket Kickstand.

16. Wireless Headphones Case

My teens don’t go anywhere without their wireless headphones–this includes Disney. Practice good line etiquette by wearing these when watching videos in line! Keep them contained in cute protective character-themed cases.

Disney Must Haves: Health and Safety Essentials

17. Masks

Masks are no longer required at Disney, but if Covid taught me anything it was that people are gross. I usually have one on hand just in case a symphony of sneezing, coughing, snarfling and phlegm gymnastics happens in a confined space.

And on the topic of masks, do yourself a favor. Bring mints or gum to keep everything fresh and pleasant whether you’re wearing a mask or not. You can’t buy gum at Disney!

18. Friction Stick

What is a friction stick, you might be asking? Have you heard of Disney rash? Ever been in a Disney planning group when people start talking about thigh burn? This will save you and that’s priceless. Basically, it’s like deodorant for your inner thighs and prevents painful chafing. It’s a must!

19. Hand Sanitizer

Keep sanitizer close at hand with silicone holders that can be attached to belt loops, backpacks and strollers.

20. Basic First Aid Kit

Yes, Disney does have First Aid Centers in the parks. You can go to them to get basics like bandages and basic over-the-counter medications, but it’s cheaper and easier to bring some basic supplies with you. I LOVE this container for medicines– it’s compact and sorts everything. It also works surprisingly well for packing stud earrings when traveling.

Most of the First Aid Centers are in the front of the park and blisters usually happen well into a long day. Save the pain of limping to the front and do two things:

Buy Before Disney: Fun Disney Essentials

21. Glow Sticks/Light Up Toys

When the parade at Magic Kingdom starts and every other kid has a glowing light toy or a bubble blower, you can guarantee your toddler will find them fascinating. Meanwhile, you’ll find the price to buy one at Disney mind-boggling,

At night, glow sticks and spinning light toys pop up everywhere. Pick up a few packs of glow stick bracelets, wands and necklaces for big Disney savings. These may not be “Disney must-haves,” but if you’ve got toddlers, you will definitely hear about everyone else’s glow toys. It’s fun to be able to surprise them without breaking the bank.

Want more than the plain Dollar Store offerings? Head to a Disney Outlet and still save money, even for the fancy light wands. Or buy them online ahead of your trip.

A quick PSA: You know your kids best. If you’ve got one that’s a bit clumsy, it may be worth the splurge in park for the bubble wand. Why? Well, if it stops working while you’re at Disney, they’ll replace it.

22. Disney Must Have: Costumes for the Kiddos

A favorite tradition of ours was our girls waking up at the hotel on their first morning at Walt Disney World to find a dress left for them by a “princess.” By keeping an eye on shopDisney emails, I am usually able to snag these on sale. Timing-wise, deals tend to happen before Halloween, between Halloween and Christmas and then around April. I’m eyeing this adorable light-up princess dress. How amazing would this be for nighttime castle pics?!?!

On one Walt Disney World visit, I spied the exact same Belle dress my girls were wearing for more than twice what I paid for it.

23. Autograph Book

A popular toddler and kid activity at Disney is collecting the autographs of various characters as you wander the parks or attend character meals. Autograph books in the parks run close to $20 for the cheapest option and go up from there. We made our own out of dollar store notebooks and Disney princess stickers.

Disney pin trading tips for first timers.

24. Disney Pins/Lanyard

Pin trading is a fun way to find unique souvenirs. It can also be something new to do for repeat visitors. Pins need to be Official Disney Pins with the Mickey-shaped backing on them in order to be traded.

I bought several at the Disney Store Outlet for $4.95 each to get each of my kiddos started. Another way to save is to purchase a starter set of pins to trade. You can also buy a lanyard. Unpopular opinion – I actually dislike the lanyard method. Not only were most too long for my younger kids, but the pins kept coming loose. We use small zippered pouches to sort. Each kiddo gets a different color.

Are pins at Disney a must-have? You can do a trip without them, but in my opinion, it makes the trip really fun for kids (and adults). There’s something about hunting down that perfect pin.

If you wait to buy pins in the Disney Parks, expect to spend at least $7.95 per pin. Lanyards run close to $15.

25. Mouse Ear Headbands

Getting a new pair of Mouse Ear Headbands at the park might sound like a fun idea, but have you ever exhaustingly stood beside a tween while they try on every pair and attempt to make up their mind? Save money, time and your sanity by grabbing Mickey ears ahead of time. Who knows, you might even be able to score a limited release that you can’t find at the parks when you arrive. We’ve also seen great deals on this Disney must-have at warehouse stores like Sam’s Club and Costco.

If you’re like me and have that one child who will repeatedly misplace them, buy a multipack of cheap ones for Disney savings. Your blood pressure will thank you when they suddenly don’t know where their third look of the day is.

26. Plan for Pressed Pennies.

We used to advise to pack change but times have altered that. Elongated pennies are still a Disney must-have that will save you on souvenirs. However, only some machines still take cash. The remaining machines take credit cards only. Pressing a penny costs $1. The credit card machines allow you to buy 8 presses for $5.

What Disney must-have should you buy now to save? The collectible booklets to put the pennies into. Pack one and pop the pennies in as you gather them. They’ll stay safe and you won’t be tempted by a pricier version in the parks. Have several kids interested? This 3-pack offers greater Disney savings.

What to Buy For Your Disney Trip: Advanced Disney Savings

27. Discount Gift Cards

The art of discount Disney gift cards is truly that – an art. Disney gift cards can be used across the parks for everything from dining to hotel rooms to souvenirs. Plan ahead and shop sales to turn your Disney budget up a notch.

For example, my local grocery chain, HEB, recently offered a coupon to buy $100 in Disney gift cards and save $20. Using my husband’s and my son’s mobile apps, we purchased $300 worth of Disney gift cards for $240. These deals tend to pop up starting in November and run through the Christmas season. Sam’s Club also runs discounted gift card deals.

In addition, you can purchase Disney gift cards at Target using your Red Card for an everyday savings of at least 5%.

Overall, one of the biggest tips I can give is to use a packing list! Print it out and check it twice for Disney World essentials. Nothing makes the cost of a Disney vacation skyrocket like items you forgot to bring.

If you’re a Disney lover – or just the type to be enchanted by shiny, pretty things – it’s hard to resist the Disney credit card. Issued by Chase, this Visa card is emblazoned with images of Mickey Mouse, the Sleeping Beauty castle, a Star Wars character, or your choice of Disney favorites.

What Mouseketeer worth her ears wouldn’t want to be a card-carrying member of that club?

But I want to be clear up front: If you’re not able to pay off the balance each month, a Chase Disney Visa card isn’t the right choice.

As of 2024, both Disney cards carry an intro interest rate of 18.49%. That means carrying a balance on this credit card would swallow up the benefit of any rewards you earn. And who wants that?

Ready for more Disney? Sign up for our newsletter now.

The Lure of that Disney Benefit

My family has made a vow to live debt-free. We are actual graduates of the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University; living without credit is one of the basic tenants of that plan. The bottom line is – for us – easy-access credit just isn’t worth it. Currently, we don’t have any credit card debt, nor do we use any credit cards we can’t pay off within the first billing cycle. Living debt-free is a whole new world, and it works for us.

And yet, we have the Chase Disney Visa card. Two of them, in fact.

If you’re a regular visitor to Walt Disney World or Disneyland, you’ll want to have one too.

Be smart when using your Disney credit card to save for a Disney trip. Photo courtesy Chase Visa.

What’s the Reward?

Before deciding which Disney credit card is right for you, it’s important to understand the basic reward system.

Chase will “reward” Disney card holders with Disney Rewards Dollars when the card member uses the Visa rewards card on qualified purchases. Each Disney Rewards Dollar is worth $1 when redeemed for Disney merchandise purchases. The rewards dollars can be used to buy theme park tickets, at select dining locations in Disney Parks, for stays at Disney resorts, and for Disney vacations at many (though not all) Disney locations.

The Disney Reward Dollars come in the form of a credit on a redemption card, similar to a Disney gift card.

2 Types of Disney Visa Cards by Chase

Chase offers credit cards that pay off in Disney rewards:

  • the Disney Visa card
  • the Disney Premier Visa card

The Disney Visa credit card has no annual fee. Cardholders earn one Disney Reward Dollar for every $100 charged to the card (1% cash back). That’s like free money (if you’re paying off your card monthly), but it is limited. You can redeem your Disney Rewards Dollars only in qualifying Disney purchases.

The Disney Premier Visa has an annual fee — $49 as of December, 2024. But cardholders earn rewards twice as fast — 2 Disney Rewards Dollars for every $100 spent on select merchandise purchases, as well as purchases at gas stations, restaurants and grocery stores. Other purchases earn 1% in rewards dollars. Unlike the basic Disney card, Disney Premier Visa rewards can be used to buy airline travel.

So Which Card Should You Choose?

Which Disney Visa card should you choose? Before deciding, check the Chase website to see if there are any sign-up bonus offers available for new card holders. Currently, Chase is offering a $200 statement credit to new Disney Visa card members who make $500 in qualifying purchases in the first three months. If you choose a Disney Premiere Visa card (the upgrade model), Chase is offering a $400 statement credit for new card members who make $1000 in qualifying purchases in the first three months.

Because the reward earnings rate is higher, the Disney Premier Visa may seem to be the obvious choice.

So why is my card (both of them, actually) a basic Disney Visa?  I don’t usually charge expenses (on any card). I also drive to Disney, so I don’t need the airline credit. For me, it “pays” to hold a basic Disney Visa card.

Instead, we enjoy the perk of using the Disney Visa card as one of our budgeting tools when we plan a Disney trip. Whenever we go away (on vacation, or on a day trip to any “big location”), we make our purchases on our Disney Visa. When we get the bill, we promptly pay it off, using the cash we would have spent during the trip.

The Perks of Using a Disney Credit Card

Earning Disney Rewards Dollars is just one perk of the ChaseDisney rewards credit cards. Here are some others, but see the Chase Visa page for a complete and current list.

  • Six months interest free on select Disney vacation packages and cruises. You must book the Disney cruise or theme park package through Disney or one of its authorized travel agents and charge it to your Disney Visa to get that perk.
  • 15% discount of of select guided tours at Disneyland or Walt Disney World. See the Chase Visa page for a complete list of tours.
  • 10% discount on select dining, recreational activities and packages, and merchandise at the Disney Parks & Cruise Lines and at Disneystore.com.
  • limited time offers for special events, travel and even merchandise.

Theme Park Exclusives

One of my favorite reasons to have a Disney Visa card is the exclusive perks available in Disney Theme Parks – even if I never use my card all year!

First, you can visit exclusive meet and greet locations available only to Disney Visa card holders. We’ve visited Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and others in EPCOT (currently in the Imagination Pavilion) and challenged Kylo Ren at an exclusive meet and greet in Disney’s Hollywood Studios (currently in the Animation Courtyard).

Characters aren’t announced, but inside sources say that you can meet up with Darth Vader himself at the Star Wars Launch Bay – but only if you have a valid Disney Visa card.

There are similar meet and greet opportunities at Disney California Adventure and Disneyland  – without the long lines and waiting! You also get a free PhotoPass download when you attend a Disney Visa meet and greet. Eligible for six people per card member account. Now you know why we have two!

Shed some light on the pros and cons of using the Disney Chase Visa. Photo by Mary Dixon Lebeau

Bonus Perks

There are also limited-time offers for Disney card holders, offered via email or snail mail. These are sporadic and vary, but in the past, we’ve been offered:

  • Extended time for free dining with a Disney vacation
  • Exclusive access to special Disney pins
  • 20% off Disney on Ice tickets

You must use your Disney Visa card to cash in on these deals.

So, Is the Disney Visa Right for You?

If you are someone who visits a Disney theme park annually (or even every other year), the answer could be yes – if you are disciplined enough to pay off the balance each month.

You can also reap some rewards (like the character meet and greets and in-park savings) even without using your card for purchases outside a Walt Disney World Resort.

So even if you are one to rack up credit card rewards, you’re best to do that with a card that offers a higher percentage back and more spending flexibility. Save this card for Disney purchases, and use the rewards balance as part of the budget for your next Disney vacation!

When Is the Disney Visa Wrong for You?

Although Disney rewards can be redeemed throughout the Disney parks in the United States, they cannot be used at the international Disney resorts. So if Disneyland Paris is your next getaway, this isn’t the card for you.

Once you’ve bought the park tickets, picked your Disney resort and let the kids know about your Disney World vacation, it’s time to gear up. That prep can come with sticker shock! Looking at the original price on some Disney merchandise can make the best of us a little faint. However, there is a way to be a Disney fan and a savvy shopper. Plan to visit the Disney warehouse Orlando outlets. With two Disney Character Warehouse locations offering heavily discounted official Disney merchandise, we love to stop in as soon as we step off the plane in Florida.

Do the Disney warehouse outlets in Orlando carry authentic merchandise?

Yes! We don’t blame you for being a bit skeptical. The merchandise carried in these Orlando area Disney outlets isn’t irregular or seconds quality. It is authentic Disney merchandise that has been discounted or discontinued.

There are a few reasons why the Disney warehouse outlets can offer discount pricing. It’s a spot for them to sell off seasonal merchandise for holidays or festivals before the next year’s new items are released. You can pick up EPCOT festival merchandise offerings from Food and Wine, Flower and Garden or Festival of the Arts. We’ve also seen 50th Anniversary celebration merchandise and Halloween and Christmas items.

You’ll also occasionally find items from other properties like Disneyland, Disney Cruise Lines and even overseas Disney theme parks.

SheBuysTravel Tip: Please be aware that other “Disney outlets” may pop up on maps and searches. These one-offs often mix merchandise in from Universal Orlando and other regional spots that may or may not be authentic. Only 2 official Disney’s Character Warehouse locations exist in Orlando, Florida.

The Disney Character Warehouse Locations in Orlando

With two locations in Orlando you can pick which one you go to. We cover more about virtual queues and crowds in the next section.

Disney’s Character Warehouse (Vineland)

8200 Vineland Ave #1252 Orlando, FL

(Ask for drop off or park near Adidas/Banana Republic entrance.)

Take an Uber to Disney’s Character Warehouse at Orlando Premium Outlet Mall if you’re pressed for time. The Orlando Vineland Premium Outlet location is the closest to Disney (right outside the Walt Disney World gates). Not surprisingly, it is also the busiest of the two outlets.

Disney’s Character Warehouse (I-Drive)

4969 International Dr. Orlando, FL

If you’ve got more time and a car, the Orlando International Premium Outlets location is well worth the drive. The main address for the outlets is 4951 International Drive. Since it is located further from the Disney parks, the I-Drive location tends to not get picked over as quickly.

SheBuysTravel Tip: You can now book Disney vacations up to 500 days in advance! That means you can book now for visits into 2026. All it takes is a $200 down payment. The balance isn’t due until 30 days before travel. You can get details on this, as well as help booking, from our partners at Get Away Today. Not only does the company have the lowest prices, but it also offers a best-price guarantee. If you ever find park tickets cheaper, Get Away Today won’t just match the price, the company will beat it.

Which Disney Outlet is Better?

A question that always comes up is which Disney warehouse store in Orlando is the best? There are pluses and minuses to both. The word better is relative because your decision will depend on your schedule. Overall, the location on International Drive tends to have more to choose from. However, if you’re planning to rideshare with Uber or Lyft the Vineland Avenue location is much closer.

How does the virtual queue work for Disney warehouse outlets in Orlando?

Because of its popularity and to control crowds, the location at Vineland sometimes operates on a virtual queue system. You can only join the queue at the location. Talk to a cast member when you arrive. We always recommend going during less crowded times (midday weekdays or weekday evenings). If you plan to go on a weekend, we recommend planning to eat a meal at the outlets while you wait for your text message from the store.

SheBuysTravel Tip: The International Drive location is larger so you can often walk right in. During busier times, however, there still may be a virtual queue.

Disney’s Character Warehouse Finds

The kids and I hit both Disney outlets on one visit. We loaded up on tees from $4 and tons of out-of-season but still perfectly useful items at giveaway prices. We also found MagicBand bling – $13 at the parks – for $1.99. I grabbed a bunch of those for gifts to give to Disney loving friends.

What’s also nice about Disney’s Character Warehouse is that you can find some amazing collectibles and high-end items at hugely discounted prices. Think Dooney & Bourke purses, Vera Bradley and Loungefly, usually at half off retail. On the last visit, I got an amazing Mickey Leather Bomber jacket at a steal.

SheBuysTravel Tip: Don’t forget to look in the display cases and at the shelves behind the counter. They sometimes showcase one-of-a-kind items and sold-out Disney special events merchandise there.

Disney Outlet Orlando Pin Trading Tips

Disney’s Character Warehouse carries pin starter sets of 6 or 8 for $12.95 to $16.95, which is an absolute steal compared to the parks.

If your kids are into pin trading, get ANY cheap ones you can find in the outlets. No worries if your kid starts with 20 “2016 marathon” pins you got for $2 each. Honestly, it’s better because they aren’t attached to the pins so they’re happy to trade them away.

Shopping at Disney Stores Outside of Central Florida

If you’re near a local Disney outlet, it’s definitely worth a look. A Disney writer for SheBuysTravel loves to check for Disney essentials ahead of trips. She has been able to score princess dresses for a fraction of the price.

I always keep an eye on Disney store sales as well. During “Friends and Family” sales, look for free shipping with no minimum and items as low as 99 cents (be sure to sign up for the emails).

SheBuysTravel Tip: Rev up the pre-trip excitement with this easy DIY Disney countdown calendar.

Disney Warehouse Outlets Shopping Tips

If you want to get the most impressive Disney outlet haul, keep these tips in mind.

  • Visit the outlets before your WDW park days. You can grab autograph books, pins for pin trading, Disney Mickey and Minnie ears, t-shirts and more. These are items you’ll want to use during your Disney World vacation!
  • Go in with a list. While you can’t be specific about designs you’re looking for it can be easy to walk in, get overwhelmed and draw a blank. If you’ve got a list of Disney fans in your friend and family group that has info on their sizes and favorite characters you’ll be ready to purchase the perfect Disney gifts. When you present Grandma with her Figment limited edition Loungefly bag at her next birthday, you’ll be her favorite. How much you spent will be our little secret!
  • If you see an item that catches your eye, pick it up and put it in your basket–fast! The stock is constantly changing, and we mean constantly. Ebay resellers shop these stores for inventory. If you try to go back to something it may not be there anymore.
  • If you don’t love crowds avoid times near opening. This is a popular time for both tourists and Amazon resellers looking for fresh stock.
  • The are other Disney shopping options. Uniqlo, in Disney Springs, is a Japanese H&M/Old Navy-type clothing store. The Disney Springs store has hundreds of unique Disney tees, most under $15. You’ll even find characters not often seen. Last time I saw Up! and 101 Dalmatians. When was the last time you saw an Up! t-shirt?

I am a solo mom and I have an older child who still tends to need a cart, stroller or some kind of wheels when faced with lots of walking, as I knew would be the case with a Walt Disney World vacation. Sound familiar? Those transition years are tough! I decided to try renting from Kingdom Strollers for our Disney World Orlando vacation. Here’s my experience with this Orlando stroller rental company, including what I loved (lots) and what could be better.

Kingdom Strollers Experience, Pre-Trip

My travel agent Kate recommended Kingdom Strollers as the stroller rental company she’d actually used and had great experiences with on her trips to Magic Kingdom and Epcot. I had another in mind, based on a search for Orlando stroller rental companies. Since Kate hadn’t led me astray booking my own Walt Disney World vacation, I chose to trust her recommendation.

We were planning to rope drop Animal Kingdom, so I knew I’d need an extra early stroller morning drop-off time or a drop-off the night prior to our theme park day. This was easily arranged on the website for Kingdom Strollers. I opted NOT to pick it up at the airport. But that IS an option.

Our Single Stroller Disney Parks Experience

I have long since dumped our baby gear and strollers — my child is in grade school. So it’s only an option we need sparingly (and if we don’t have all day to lollygag and take our time.) We were traveling during the busy Spring Break season to Disney World, so I knew we’d be dealing with crowds.

Having a stroller would keep all of us in better spirits and help us get to attractions faster if we had a stroller for our Disney vacation. Strollers are allowed on the monorail, so no worries there! The Kingdom Strollers website lets you know your stroller rental is Disney parks approved! Having this convenience is one of the few things a cast member cannot magically make appear, so it was a real stress reducer to have our stroller rental secured in advance.

Bob Stroller (single stroller with big tires)

The Bob stroller we chose was the Revolution single stroller model and is rated for heavier/larger kids. They have options from umbrella strollers for lightweight, easy stowing to Citi Mini double options and even special needs strollers. We formerly had our own stroller, a double Bob, so this was a familiar option.

  • Our rental was $75 for three days, though we only used one day. There was no penalty for early return. The $75 saved us several times with the Spring Break crowds and sweltering weather when my elementary kid “was dying from heat!” Well worth the splurge for a stroller!
  • I was a little self conscious my taller, older child would be a spectacle in a stroller, but it allowed us to jog and successfully rope drop Avatar: Flight of Passage and better navigate crowds all day.

Stroller Rental Options and Considerations

We didn’t opt for any bells and whistles, but there are options available. You can click a box to indicate you’d like a parent console (for drinks and storage on the handles), a rain cover, cup holder and even a cooler bag.

  • I did not choose the free extras, but they still arrived with the stroller

What to put on the name tag was probably my biggest conundrum. I have a SUPER common last name. I didn’t want to list my children’s full names for obvious safety reasons. But, during a busy Disney parks day, it wouldn’t be uncommon to see several similar strollers with “Smith Family” on the tag. Get creative so you can pick out your rental in a sea of Disney World rental strollers outside It’s Tough to be a Bug.

Kingdom Strollers Customer Service

We had a great customer service experience with the company. I did read blogger reviews online as well as general Kingdom Stroller reviews which all seemed pretty solid. With so many stroller options, I was easily able to filter the best model for our needs. These are quality strollers, exactly like the many kinds I’ve owned, but with the convenience of not having to check bulky gear on airplanes bound for Florida to allow everyone in the family to easily enjoy your Disney resort stay.

Delivery Instructions

The driver texts you when they are close to meet at your predetermined arrival spot. About five days before my rental reservation was set to begin, I received an email with ‘delivery instructions.’ It was easy to follow and contained a ton of information. This email included how to edit my delivery and return times, which had actually changed a bit since several weeks before when I’d booked. It was so simple to choose a new delivery time without having to call any phone number.

  • The delivery folks wear bright orange polos
  • The resort cast members are able to help confirm where the drops occur
  • Email instructions were clear and correct for what I experienced
  • One caveat: The email for PICK-UP instructions specifies that you do not need to be there to facilitate the pick up. I asked one of the drivers and he said only in rare circumstances is that true.
  • When in doubt, call and ask! The phone line goes direct to the business, not a call center and they are helpful.

Kingdom Stroller Reviews VS. My Experience

I read a lot of the reviews online featuring Kingdom Strollers leading up to our rental. A handful spoke about the delivery person “being late” and not communicating that change. From what I experienced, I feel like these may also be the few people who fall into the “beach too sandy, water too wet” category of complainers.

  • I called to change my delivery time to reflect an earlier flight we snagged – no problems.
  • Delivery was on time and I was text messaged when they were about 20 minutes away.
  • I called to change my pick up day and time after realizing we wouldn’t need the stroller a 2nd day — again, no problems.
  • Pick up was on time (even at 5:45 in the morning) and the person was friendly and prompt, again, giving me a text message heads-up.
  • I called and was able to change my plans when it gave me an error on the web form.

Overall Experience with Kingdom Strollers

This was a lifesaver for my family. It’s hard to solo parent through Walt Disney World on a good day. It was nice to have an option to rent locally and have a single stroller delivered to our Disney resort property — it happened to be All Star Sports, but regardless if you are there or the Polynesian Village Resort, or another Disney property, there are tons of options.

The airport and nearby Orlando locations are other delivery destinations; if you happen to be going to SeaWorld instead of WDW, never fear! I am very glad I returned the stroller and did not bring it to Discovery Cove with us because of the abundance of sand.

Final Thoughts on Kingdom Strollers

  • After schlepping through an airport with a heavy stroller, I would never travel with my own again.
  • Kingdom Strollers rentals get a free Orlando Grocery Express coupon code for free delivery coupon to Disney-owned resorts. We didn’t use this, but it is a nice touch for many families.
  • I found the stroller rental service to be incredibly flexible and friendly which perfectly met our needs.
  • The stroller was a little sun-faded, but fully functional, safe and serviceable.
  • I would rent from this company again in a heartbeat.

How Early Can You Book Your Disney Vacation?

One great change at Disney World is advance planning. You can now book a Disney World vacation up to 500 days in advance! That means you can book now for visits in 2024. All it takes is a $200 deposit if your trip is more than 31 days away. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.

So, How Much Does It Cost to Go To Disney World?

Figuring out how much it costs to go to Disney World is a complex equation. With each expense, there is a wide variation in price range so your choices will impact your bottom line. It’s easy to see why so many people choose to work with a Disney travel agent.

In list format, here are the components you’ll need to plan for. Read on for a complete break down of each cost to help you figure our your family’s answer to the question: How much does it cost to go to Disney World?

  • Disney park tickets (Be sure to calculate any extra options like park hoppers.)
  • Tickets for special events such as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
  • Travel insurance
  • Hotel stay at or near Disney World (including taxes, fees and any parking charges)
  • Transportation to Disney World (If you’re flying, be sure to add costs for seat selection and baggage, food and parking at the airport, plus the cost of transportation to hotel from airport. If you’re driving, consider gas, hotel, food and toll costs.)
  • Genie+ cost if you plan to add it during your trip
  • MagicBand purchases
  • Stroller rental cost (We break that down fully in this post.)
  • Cost of Memory Maker photo service (and here are where the ride cameras are!)
  • Meals during your Disney trip (be sure to look up and calculate costs for splurge-worthy character meals)
  • Transportation to and from parks (It’s included if you stay at a Disney hotel, but even then you may want to take Uber or Lyft to avoid long bus lines)
  • Parking
  • Souvenirs and special experiences like building a droid in Star Wars Land
  • Disney essentials you buy to get ready for the trip (sunscreen, cooling towels, Minnie ears, family shirts, etc.)

Editor’s note: All ticket prices mentioned in this post are accurate for Disney vacations booked in November 2023. They provide an idea of how much a Disney vacation costs. Disney pricing is complicated and changes regularly. The prices you actually pay will depend on when and how you travel.

Here’s how Disney World operates now, in the wake of the coronavirus shutdown and reopening.

How Much Are Disney World Tickets?

A Walt Disney World vacation starts with purchasing park tickets. Add-ons for tickets include Park Hoppers and/or the “Water Parks and More” option.

In Orlando, the Walt Disney World resort includes four theme parks and two water parks:

The cost of a park ticket is based on which day you visit. Tickets cost more for park visits on the weekend and during higher demand times, such as the holidays and during the summer.

Ticket prices recently changed for the theme parks. Now the parks each have different prices for single-day tickets that range from $109 to $189. You can still access multi-day savings. Under the new pricing model, if you purchase 6-day tickets, the cost would start at $87/day.

Depending on how many days you plan to visit, you might want to calculate whether purchasing a Disney Annual Pass makes sense for your family.

If you’re just in the planning process and want to see how much a Disney vacation will cost your family, you can fill out this form and Get Away Today will reach out to you with a personalized quote for FREE!.

Disney Genie Service Lightning Lane Access

The Disney Genie Service provides priority access to some of Disney’s most popular rides. It replaced the free FastPass system.

This added cost is $15 per day per person. It’s an add-on that can only be booked each morning of your trip.

If you think you’re going to use this service, be sure to budget for this expense or it can be sticker shock at the end of your trip.

Special Deals on Disney Tickets for Florida Residents

Do you live in the Sunshine State? Florida residents get special rates to visit Mickey. You’ll save 30 percent on 3-day theme park tickets or 40 percent on 4-day tickets.

Florida residents will have to show proof of residency, so don’t mistakenly purchase these tickets if you are not a Florida resident!

Disney has also added a digital verification method. If you’re a Florida resident purchasing through the website, fill out the “Your Florida Resident Information” form when you check out.

Purchasing through the My Disney Experience app? You can verify residency on the “Customize Your Tickets” step.

Is a Park Hopper Ticket Worth the Cost?

Due to the lingering effects of the pandemic, the parks still have capacity limits. That means all theme park visitors must reserve their spot to visit a park through the Disney Park Pass System. The park hopper option allows you to “hop” to any other park after 2pm.

If you’re buying a multi-day pass, you have to pay for “hopping” for every day of the ticket, even if you only plan to hop on a day or two.

This can really add up if you’re traveling with your family. Plus, the time you take traveling from one park to another is less time spent actually enjoying a park!

Are you willing to pay anything to ride on three different coasters in one day (Space Mountain in the Magic Kingdom, Slinky Dog Dash in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Expedition Everest in Disney’s Animal Kingdom) then head to EPCOT for a three-course meal at Le Cellier? Then park hopping might be right for you!

Tree of Life in Disney's Animal Kingdom
Do you want to visit all four parks? That’s a good decision to make and will affect the cost of your vacation. Photo credit: Sarah Gilliland

SheBuysTravel has even more in depth details on whether a park hopper is worth the money.

Read More: Is the Disney Vacation Club Worth the Cost?

When Is a Park Hopper NOT Worth the Money?

You may not want to actually park hop, however. Why? Because it takes time to move from one Disney World park to another. It is easy to hop from EPCOT to Hollywood Studios because the theme parks are located right next to one another.

But it takes much longer to hop from the Magic Kingdom to Animal Kingdom. A trip on board the free Disney transportation can take 45 minutes or longer. That’s 45 minutes less time you’ll have in the parks.

Many people plan to use their hoppers to go to a water park to cool off after a hot day in the parks. Currently, Typhoon Lagoon is closed for refurbishment, but Blizzard Beach is open.

How Much Will My Hotel Cost at Disney?

Unless you are a local, you’re going to need somewhere to stay during your Disney World trip.

Staying off property at a non-Disney hotel can mean savings, but you need to factor in the time and cost of transportation to and from the park every day, as well as parking at the theme parks if you’re driving your own vehicle.

There are three categories of “on property” Disney World hotels: value, moderate and deluxe. Within each hotel there are standard rooms and preferred rooms. Each resort has pros and cons.

For example, deluxe resort hotels are the most expensive (from $439 per night), but they are often the closest to the parks, and they have some of the best pools. Hotel prices can increase sharply at popular times of the year.

Value resorts offer a significant savings (starting as low as $123 per night), but the rooms are smaller, and transportation to the parks takes longer. Also keep in mind that taxes are 1% higher at the All-Star resorts because those hotels are located in a different county.

Disney Springs area hotels are another great option for saving on lodging, but they are not as conveniently located to the parks.

Work with your travel agent and/or family to decide what is most important to you: location or cost savings that an off-site hotel might offer?

Saving Money on Hotels at Disney World

One of our favorite ways to save money and get more in our accommodations at Disney World is to rent DVC points. That’s a program that allows people who are not members of the Disney Vacation Club to get access to Disney luxury resorts like the Grand Floridian for less.

Learn all about how to rent DVC points, along with the pros and cons of the system, in this post. We also do a full review of our favorite DVC point rental company.

How To Save Money at Disney World: The Best Kept Secret

The following paragraph was sponsored by RVshare, a peer-to-peer RV rental website that connects RV owners with people who want to rent an RV.

Did you know that there are campsites and RV sites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness at Disney World? These RV sites have concrete pads as big as 18 feet wide and 60 feet long. This means you can stay in a luxury RV for a fraction of the cost of staying at a luxury Disney resort. And, unlike a standard hotel room, the luxury RV will sleep your family of 5+ and comes with a kitchen!

Even better, staying in an RV at Fort Wilderness entitles you to all of the perks of staying at a Disney resort, including extended hours in the parks and free Disney transportation. Best of all, there are lots of RV rental options in Orlando and many of them will set up the RV for FREE at the campsite.

Here are a few of the RVs we found in the area that would be ideal for a Disney vacation! These rentals cost anywhere between $100-$200/night.

  1. 2017 Dutchman Luxury RV & Golf Cart
  2. 2018 Keystone (sleeps 7)
  3. 2019 Jayco (sleeps 8)

You’ll save money by being able to make meals in your RV and the whole experience will be fun for the family.

You can always rent an RV and drive it to Orlando, but we think the easiest approach and the best way to save money is to rent it once you arrive in Orlando and have the owners set it up for you.

Reasons to Consider an RV Rental

SheBuysTravel contributor Jenn Mitchell rented an RV from RVshare for a vacation with her teens and found even more reasons to love traveling by RV — like having their own bathroom.

Here’s what she has to say about RVshare:

“I can’t say enough good things about our experience. I researched a number of RV rental companies and found the value and services provided by RVshare to be the best choice for us. My husband agrees. We think renting an RV provided a unique opportunity to spend quality time together as a family.”

You can read the full review of her RVshare rental experience, including how it works, here.

How Much Does it Cost to Get to Disney World?

Next, let’s talk about actually getting to Disney. Will you drive or fly?

If you’re driving to Disney, you’ll want to consider the cost of gas, any hotel stops, food on the way and car maintenance as well as wear and tear.

If you’re flying, you’re going to want to factor in airfare, travel insurance (trust us on this), seat selection fees, baggage costs (if you aren’t flying Southwest), and always factor in the cost of one night in a hotel in case something happens! It’s better to plan for it and not need it than need it and not have it left in your budget.

Also keep in mind that Disney’s free Magical Express bus service has ended so you’ll need to factor in the cost of getting to Disney from the Orlando International Airport if you’re flying.

Disney Hotel Parking Costs

As of January 10, 2023, overnight self-parking is complimentary to guests staying at Disney Resort hotels at Walt Disney World Resort. Complimentary standard parking is also available to guests staying at The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Each campsite provides parking space for one (1) motorized vehicle. In addition, standard self-parking is complimentary for day guests while enjoying select dining, shopping, entertainment and recreation experiences at Disney Resort hotels.

If you decide to drive to a theme park you won’t have to pay the parking fees at the park if you’re staying at a resort and already paying for parking there. Also, annual passes come with parking included.

How Much is Your Time Worth?

Another transportation cost you’ll want to consider is time. It takes time to traverse the 47-square-mile Disney World property, whether you’re in a rental car, a Disney bus, boat or monorail. It can take even longer when there are special events such as holiday celebrations, runDisney races  and cheer/dance competitions.

I believe that time equals money on my Disney family vacation, so I’m always thinking about the pros and cons of transportation to and from my hotel and the parks.

How Much Should I Budget for Food at Disney World?

At Disney World, even dining can be complicated. Which dining plan should you choose? Should you even choose a dining plan? This absolutely depends on your family or traveling party.

The popular Disney Dining Plan is not available at this time. Limited capacity in restaurants means less room for diners – and getting into your favorite eatery has always been a challenge! You should still make reservations (recommended, maybe even essential) at this time, but you’ll be paying out-of-pocket for any meals in Disney.

Need help planning your Disney trip? Get all your questions answered from our Disney Planning & Fun Facebook Group!

How to Save Money Dining at Disney

The days of free dining may be behind us – at least for now – but that doesn’t mean you can’t stretch your Disney dining dollar. Table service restaurant meal offerings are very generous in size. Sometimes even a quick service meal keeps me full for most of the day. And my kids can always share one meal without a problem, especially if we promise a popcorn bucket refill later that afternoon.

If you want to save on food costs at Disney, book a hotel room with a small kitchen and plan to eat in a few times during your trip. Or book a FRBO (For Rent By Owner) villa to spread out and eat a meal in comfort and safety – with minimal cost to you. Or rent that RV with the kitchen!

When you’re calculating the cost of special character meals, keep in mind that Cinderella’s Royal Table and Hoop-de-Doo Revue require full payment when you book.

What Extra Expenses Should I Expect?

When calculating “how much does it cost to go to Disney World” don’t forget about the extras that can sneak up on you, such as:

  • Specialty food offerings during the holidays
  • Souvenirs for the kiddos
  • A round of mini golf at Fantasia Gardens

Always factor in souvenirs and supplies you need for the trip itself. Need new luggage? Have the kids outgrown their sandals? All added costs to account for.

Here are our best tips on how to save on Disney souvenirs and Disney essentials to buy before your trip to save money..

My family loves the benefit of having a Disney Visa credit card. Our credit card saves us 10% on most purchases at Disney stores and shopDisney.com (some restrictions apply). We also earn points on every purchase that we make, Disney or not, that we can then turn into a redemption card that can be used at any Disney Parks resort, restaurant or store.

Your Disney trip is almost here and now it’s time to start packing! Whether you’re heading to Disneyland or Walt Disney World, it’s important to have the right luggage. These kid-friendly suitcases are easy for children to manage through the airport or hotel. Choosing these fun travel accessories and Disney luggage for kids will simply add more magic to your vacation!

Children should be able to manage their own luggage through the airport or hotel. Resist the urge to overpack by following these tips on what to bring to Disney. And put it all in one of these fun, kid-friendly Disney suitcases.

Small luggage is easy for kids to handle. Photo credit: Julie Bigboy

American Tourister Disney Roll Aboard 2-pc Hardside Set

This is the luggage I use with my two kids. My daughter has the smaller piece and my son uses the bigger one. I love the bright and bold design that’s easy to spot. Both suitcases are hard-sided but lightweight with height adjustable trolley pulls. We can fill a lot in these bags without worry of damage. When not on a Disney trip, the small bag fits inside the larger one for storage.

American Tourister Kids’ Disney Softside Upright Luggage

Capture her Frozen heart with this suitcase from Amazon

This budget-friendly option includes inline skate wheels to easily transport this lightweight 18″ suitcase. The lined interior holds a good amount of travel essentials for younger kids. A mesh internal pocket separates small items like bathing suits or socks. My daughter is 5 and owns one of these softsided suitcases and we’ve used it on Disneyland vacations. When we aren’t traveling, we use the luggage to store her dolls under the bed! The version shown features Disney Frozen characters but there are lots of other favorites to choose from for this kid’s suitcase.

Mickey Mouse Sketch Rolling Luggage

Custom design found at shopDisney

This smaller sized 20″ suitcase was created especially for the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. It’s black (so as not to show wear as easily), with a bold laminated print of Mickey on the front. This one is great for older kids as a carry-on bag.

For short tips, eliminate the need to over pack with a lightweight duffel bag. Sub this bright pink polka dotted duffel as a carry-on suitcase for older kids. My recommendation would be to bring this soft fabric duffel in your luggage then use it to transport Disney souvenirs back home.

Another great suitcase from American Tourister, featuring a subtle Star Wars design. Ideal for super fans and older kids, this carry on offers easy rolling skate wheels and two separate internal packing compartments. Hardsided suitcases are great for children who are tougher on their stuff.

Packing for a Disney trip is more fun when the luggage is themed to your vacation! Photo credit: Keri Baugh

SheBuysTravel Keri Baugh shares this –

We love the Pottery Barn Kids Disney-themed suitcases (and backpacks that we use for their carry-on). My daughter has the Disney Princess set and my son has the Marvel set. They are the perfect size for kids to bring their belongings, as they are smaller than a regular suitcase but large enough to fit a lot. And, kids can travel showing their Disney-side!

Heys Disney Clubhouse Hybrid Spinner Luggage Set

This design found on Amazon piggy-backs together, allowing kid to move 2 suitcases with one hand.
This 3-piece set offers the support of hard-side luggage with the functionality of soft-side luggage. Frameless design means the pieces are extremely lightweight but still durable. Pockets on the front panel allow kids easy access. And who could resist the colorful images of Mickey and friends!

Kid’s Travel Backpacks

Backpacks are a theme park essential. When sized right for kids, a backpack can be a great way for children to tote their own Disney day bag.

For air or car travel, load up a backpack with travel needs including a water bottle, snacks, tech and books. Don’t forget the facial coverings and hand sanitizer! If the backpack is small enough, it can fit under the airplane seat for quick access mid-flight.

Choose a backpack with side pockets and zippered compartments. Straps should be comfortable and adjustable to your child’s size. These are some of our favorite backpacks for Disney travel.

Toy Story Disney Kids’ Clamshell Backpack with Harness

Toy Story themed backpack from Amazon includes a harness strap to connect you to your toddler.

If you have a toddler who wants independence, consider using a backpack with harness at Disneyland or Disney World. This allows your youngster to be hands-free, walk alone but still remain close to you. Fill their backpack with a diaper changing pad, diapers and wipes, a snack and drink and a small toy. I’ve always used a harness backpack when taking toddlers to Disney. It’s priceless during airplane travel and within the amusement parks.

Disney Luggage for Kids – Qualities to Look for

Disney vacations require a lot of stuff. And you’ll want a high quality suitcase that will help keep everything organized and safe. Naturally, the luggage you choose should be appropriate to the age and size of the child. However there are some additional details to look for in any Disney luggage for kids.

The suitcase needs to be lightweight. Luggage should have four spinning wheels for easier navigation. The trolley handle must be adjustable in height. Suitcases need to be durable, with quality zippers.

Why Choose Disney-Themed Luggage?

Having Disney-themed luggage simply adds to the fun when taking a Disney vacation! Whether it features Disney’s Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, a bold Minnie Mouse polka dot or is a more subtle Star Wars theme, these travel essentials for kids are both practical and fun.

Disney luggage for kids is also a great gift. Present kids with one of these Disney suitcases as part of a Disney surprise.

No more struggle to figure out which black bag is yours – A unique or bright design is key when trying to find suitcases on the baggage carousel. Customizing luggage also makes the bags easier to locate at the airport.

Do you ever see something over and over again online and start questioning it? There are two questions we get a lot from our readers. First, where can we buy discount Disney tickets? And after we mention our affiliate partner GetAwayToday.com the next question is “Is Get Away Today legit?” It’s understandable to hesitate and do your research when choosing a travel agency for your family vacation. We can whole heartedly recommend them. Here’s our Get Away Today review including our personal experiences using their services

Why Get Away Today is Our Favorite Discount Travel Booking Agency

Our SheBuysTravel team works hard to be a resource you can trust. They also plan family vacations to multiple destinations as well as fun choices like Universal Studios Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood.

SheBuysTravel hopes this honest Get Away Today review will be helpful to you and your family. We wrote it after testing the Get Away Today experience. We were impressed at the high level of customer service and the great prices. And we aren’t easily impressed.

Get Away Today Review

A friend and I decided to take a last-minute girlfriend getaway to Walt Disney World and we used Get Away Today to help book our stay. We had strict limitations on dates due to our spouses work schedules. With no flexibility we were looking for the very best Disney resort and ticket deals available. As travel writers we both have a lot of Disney knowledge and experience. It was clear that the Get Away Today agents also had tons of Disney knowledge. Everyone we spoke to was laser-focused on getting us the best deal possible. They talked us through a couple of options within our price range and then they completed the booking for us and emailed us our reservation information.

After booking our trip, a Get Away Today Disney Expert called to see if we needed any assistance with our upcoming vacation. She was willing to help us book any extras, make dining reservations and even schedule our transportation from the Orlando Airport to Disney World. Brooke, the Get Away Today Disney Expert, stayed in contact with us before our vacation and then she called again after our trip to make sure everything had gone as planned.

I’m normally the planner for all of our family vacations and it was a refreshing change to have someone else assisting me while also helping me to save money. The overall experience was fantastic!

The best part though? They tracked the price and when there was a price drop before our trip they snagged the better price back for us and we got money back! We of course used that to buy even more snacks and drinks.

Walt Disney World Vacation Tickets & Packages

When booking a Disney World vacation (especially if it’s your first trip to WDW) you’re going to have a lot of questions. There are several Disney ticket options; base tickets, day park hopper tickets, tickets that include Genie+ and knowing the difference between these tickets can save you time and money.

You’ll also need to book transportation to your Disney Resort if you’re staying on-property now that Magical Express has been discontinued. Dining reservations need to be booked. MagicBands can be purchased or old ones can be linked to your new tickets through the My Disney Experience App.

It’s a lot. we know. But if you’re feeling overwhelmed, don’t worry. The agents at Get Away Today can help with all of those details. Their hands-on approach is the #1 reason why we recommend them to our readers. We want you to get the MOST out of your Disney World vacation.
